the earth covered with soft moss
comforts me as
I walk beneath the relentless sky.
I forgot my coat.
Wild raspberries at the edge of the path,
tiny pink balls of fur covered flesh
pop them in my mouth one by one
feel them burst and taste the sun.
A torn suede bolete bleeds red
the cap of grey russula rustles up through the leaf litter.
The lime flowers have gone to seed
each branch and flickers with beautiful awareness.
